It’s been a busy start for us here at Turner Dooley and we’re most certainly feeling the love…
As we enter our second month as a new business, we’d like to update you on how we’re doing and what 2022 is looking like.
So far, we’ve listed 5 properties across the Ellesmere Port, South Wirral & Chester areas and have plenty more in the pipeline coming very soon. We have 4 properties under offer, with 3 of them achieving above asking price offers within the first week of marketing….it’s safe to say we haven’t stopped! Overall it’s been a real pleasure getting out and about, meeting with our lovely clients and ultimately spreading the word.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been focusing hard on business generation and have invested heavily into local and online marketing. We’ve also been active across our social media channels which have gained some really great traction and it’s great to see everyone engaging with us.
Keep your eyes peeled for our letters that we’ll be personally hand delivering through your door as well as some other local marketing that we have lined up. In regards to our advanced marketing offering, we have some exciting updates regarding this which we can’t wait to share with you all very soon.
As we look ahead to the second half of February and the rest of the year, our plan is to keep working our socks off and providing a first class service to every single one our customers.

In regards to how the market is looking so far in 2022, It was the busiest ever January for those wanting to move home. Buyer demand soared compared to the same period last year and Rightmove say that buyer demand was up 16% compared to last January when the pandemic discouraged many movers. Buyer enquiries about homes for sale also jumped up 24% compared to January 2020. Despite strong sustained demand from buyers, there are early signs of a better-balanced market over the course of 2022.
The number of new homes coming to the market for sale increased 10% in the two weeks of January compared to the same time last year. In addition, the number of enquiries from potential sellers to estate agents to value their home, often the first step in putting a home up for sale, is at a record for January. Rightmove also say that it recorded over 218 million visits to its site and apps, the highest number during a January.
Rightmove’s director of property data Tim Bannister said: “We know that January is typically one of the busiest months for agents, with both buyers and sellers aiming to start the new year with plans for a new home, but even for a January, agents are reporting this will go down as one of the busiest ever. Strong buyer demand at the beginning of the year, even higher than that of January last year, shows us that people are still evaluating their needs and where they want to live, as they consider factors such as space, or returning to the office. The jump in new properties coming to the market over the last two weeks is a positive sign that there will be more choice to meet this demand during 2022, and the significant jump in valuation requests in the month compared to previous years, signals that there could be even more choice to come in the near future.”
